Are you an experienced project management professional with a keen eye for structure, optimization, and innovation? Do you have the leadership skills to elevate a team and successfully manage complex projects? Then Scarabee is looking for you as our Head of Projectmanagement!

About the role

As the Head of Projectmanagement, you will be responsible for structuring, optimizing, and leading project management within Scarabee. Your focus will be on operational efficiency, strategic collaboration with our clients (mainly airports), and ensuring contractual compliance. You will play a key role in achieving business objectives by delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Additionally, you will drive innovation, continuous improvement, and talent development within the team.

Your responsibilities

– Standardization & Optimization
Develop a uniform project approach with best practices, clear KPIs, and a service-driven framework to maximize customer satisfaction.
– Collaboration & Communication
Streamline processes, enhance interdepartmental coordination, and establish clear escalation lines for efficient project execution.
– Innovation & Digitalization
Drive innovative solutions and implement digital tools to improve efficiency and teamwork.
– KPIs & Performance Management
Monitor key performance indicators such as lead times, budget deviations, and customer satisfaction. Implement continuous improvements based on data and feedback.
– Ensuring Project Success
Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards while minimizing risks and optimizing resource allocation.
– Team Development & Leadership
Lead the professionalization of project management, coach and develop talent, and foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.
– Financial & Contract Management
Maintain strict budget control, prevent cost overruns, and ensure transparent reporting and contract compliance.
– Customer Focus & Stakeholder Management
Ensure clear communication, timely project delivery, and ongoing service improvements based on customer feedback and expectations.
– Strategy & Innovation
Align project portfolios with Scarabee’s long-term strategy and identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
– External Relations & Crisis Management
Build strong partnerships with clients and suppliers, proactively manage risks, and lead crisis response teams when needed.

What you bring

– Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Project Management).
– Experience: At least 7 years of project management experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.
– Expertise: Strong knowledge of project methodologies (such as PMP) and experience in contract and stakeholder management.
– Skills: Excellent leadership abilities, problem-solving mindset, and strategic insight.
– Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
– Willingness to travel: Occasional international travel required.
