What will you do?
Are you the experienced Installation Engineer who ensures a smooth handover to the customer and loves to travel? Do you easily switch between locations (Hoofddorp, Schiphol, and international locations) and take pride in knowing that your knowledge and expertise contribute to 100% customer satisfaction with our security lanes and self-service BagDrops? As an Installation Engineer, you and your department will oversee the installation process, ensuring that our security lanes and BagDrops function flawlessly at locations like Schiphol. You’ll provide the necessary support during the installation process and are responsible for delivering projects according to the specified requirements. Your responsibilities
With enthusiasm, you take charge of the machine during the testing phase at our own location. You are responsible for the installation and commissioning of our products at our customers’ sites. As a knowledge carrier, you serve as the point of contact for the project/site manager in all project phases. Of course, you ensure a proper handover regarding operating instructions and, as an expert, resolve any issues that may arise during commissioning.
We are looking for you because you are enthusiastic, experienced in machine construction, and enjoy traveling. You know what it’s like to be away from home and have no issue working irregular shifts.

Your technical insight is highly developed, and you can effectively communicate with everyone in both Dutch and English about goals and your quality- and result-oriented approach. You perform well under pressure, know how to set priorities like no one else, and excel at planning and structuring tasks. Additionally, you surprise your team, clients, and colleagues with your initiative, technical knowledge, and proactive approach.
Will you, together with your colleagues, take on the challenge of not only ensuring the machine operates smoothly but also implementing improvements in the installation process?
You will work with a fully assembled machine (provided by the workshop) and prepared software (provided by the software department). Together with your team, you will integrate all components into one functioning unit by:
- Performing I/O checks
- Calibrating and adjusting various machine components
- Testing and debugging machine functions according to a test plan
- Resolving any issues in collaboration with the project team to achieve a successful machine handover on time
- Preparing reports
- Completing the installation successfully and making it operational with a local group of engineers within the set schedule
What else do you bring to the table?
- You have a higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level, supplemented with a completed MBO4/HBO education in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering;
- At least 5 years of work experience as an Installation Engineer or Field Service Engineer in machine construction or the high-tech industry. You have an advantage if you have this experience in an international setting;
- Handling a project independently or within a team is second nature to you;
- You have experience working with high-quality products and have a safety-conscious approach when working on-site with our products;
- You are familiar with the installation processes from FAT to SAT;
- Knowledge of PLC systems and configuration of electrical components is a plus.
