What are you going to do?

You are the linking pin within the 'luggage drop-off' area of Schiphol. As Ground Steward(ess) BagDrop you supervise the self-service baggage handling process with a welcoming and everlasting smile. Make the passengers feel at ease in an exciting time while travelling and exploring the world. A minor glitch? You're the first to spot it and to fix it. Major malfunctions are reported to the Service Team. A team of 20 skilled and trained professional technicians.

Your main tasks are:

  • Assist and proactively approach passengers during the 'baggage drop off' process (e.g. misplacement of suitcase, answering questions, etc.);
  • minor BagDrop malfunctions and maintenance independently;
  • Report major malfunctions to the Service Team;
  • Reporting the work performed;
  • Make sure all passengers are all taken care of.

Who are you?

You will have to deal with passengers from all corners of the world. You are, empathetic, helpful and you have a good command of the English language.  Dutch will help too, If you also speak Spanish, French or German, that is of course a huge advantage. You are the service-providing minded Ground Steward(ess) BagDrop and you continuously strive for the highest attainable quality and passenger care!

Our BagDrop units are located in all departure halls of Schiphol, which means you will cover a lot of kilometers. #keep&stayfit.  Therefore a healthy physique is required. Your pedometer is working overtime!  You can work independently and as a flexible person you don't mind that your shifts are irregular. In fact, you like variety. You understand that it is important to be representative and wear your uniform with pride.

Job requirements:

  • At least 18 years old;
  • Good command English language, a little Dutch is an advantage speaking to passengers;
  • Ability to reach Schiphol day and night;
  • No visible offensive tattoos and / or piercings;
  • Good condition; you are physically able to walk a lot;
  • No objection to working irregular shifts, early morning or night shifts;
  • Due to the crowds in the high season and school holidays, preferably you don’t have any holidays planned;
  • Experience in a service role is always a ++ plus.
