Installation Technician

As an Installation Technician, you are the driving force behind the installation and commissioning of our security lanes and BagDrops. You work at dynamic locations such as Schiphol and international airports, where you ensure that everything runs smoothly. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for a perfect delivery and a satisfied customer. This means a lot of variety, technical challenges, and plenty of opportunities to develop yourself!

What will you do as a Installation Technician?

  • Testing and calibrating machines before they leave the premises;
  • Installing and commissioning our advanced systems on-site;
  • Acting as the point of contact for the project and site manager throughout the entire project;
  • Solving technical challenges during installation and commissioning;
  • Ensuring a smooth handover and training for the customer;
  • Making international trips to carry out installations worldwide.

What do you bring?

  • A completed MBO education in the field of mechatronics/electrical engineering/mechanical engineering;
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience within machine building;
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and electrical component configuration is a plus, but not a requirement;
  • You are able to provide a Security Clearance (VGB);
  • You are VCA certified and in possession of NEN-3140 (VP), or willing to obtain this;
  • You are flexible, willing to travel, and prepared to work irregular shifts occasionally;
  • You are fluent in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

  • A full-time salary between €3,000 and €4,000 gross per month;

  • If you work an irregular shift, you will receive overtime compensation for this in accordance with the Melaelektro CLA;
