What will you do as a Mechanical Engineer?
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of an enthusiastic Engineering team of approximately nine colleagues. The Engineering department consists of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. In your role, you will work closely not only with Electrical Engineers but also with colleagues from adjacent departments such as Solution Engineering, Software Engineering, Product Management, Project Management, Procurement, and Service & Maintenance. Together, you design, maintain, and modify our high-quality products. Additionally, you play an important role in the development of new products, solving technical issues, and keeping our products up to date globally. As a Mechanical Engineer, your duties include:
- Designing and developing 2D and 3D drawings in SolidWorks;
- Performing structural calculations for technically sound designs;
- Critically assessing the feasibility and effectiveness of new assignments;
- Intensive coordination with the project manager on new projects;
- Monitoring progress and communicating about changes or deviations;
- Implementing improvements to existing products;
- Applying applicable guidelines, standards, and regulations such as NEN, ISO, UL, and CE.
What do you bring?
- You have at least a completed MBO education in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics;
- You have experience with SolidWorks (2D and 3D);
- You have knowledge of structural calculations;
- You are familiar with CE directives and legislation regarding NEN, ISO, and UL. You work in a structured manner, communicate clearly, and adapt quickly when circumstances change.
