Airports are always on the move. Being a Software Engineer BCS is a versatile and dynamic job. As an important member of the Baggage team, you’ll work together with your colleagues to contribute to the safety of airports all over the world, focusing on improving the passenger journey.

We design, develop and implement solutions for passenger-, baggage- and safety-related processes. Being an international organization, we are used to thinking in possibilities and are continually looking for innovative solutions and disruptive technologies.

Your responsibilities

  •  Design and implementation of software, as well as modification of existing code bases
  •  Building and maintaining the simulation software for our Schiphol test and acceptance environments (digital twins).
  •  Execution of test scenarios.
  •  Solving issues/disruptions related to legacy software and control systems.
  •  Producing system documentation.
  •  Exchanging information with team members, assessing size and scope of work assignments
  •  Providing customer support.

Your profile

  •  A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (computer science, information technology etc.).
  •  Extensive knowledge of high-level programming languages (preferably C++ or C#).
  •  Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  •  Great analytical skills.
  •  A strong sense of responsibility and a proactive attitude.
  •  Eager to learn and understand the customer’s complex processes at a deep level.
  •  Flexible attitude, willing to participate in availability shifts to support customers.
  •  Knowledge of SCADA (Siemens WinCC) and PLC-systems (Siemens S7/TIA Portal).
  •  In possession of a valid driving license (category B).
