System Administrator at Daifuku Airport Netherlands – your workplace? The baggage basement of Schiphol!
Looking for a job with a unique workplace and real impact? At Daifuku Airport Netherlands, you and a close-knit team of 10 colleagues keep Schiphol’s baggage systems up and running. As a System Administrator within the Baggage Control Systems department, you contribute your technical expertise to critical infrastructure that thousands of travellers rely on every day. No open-plan office, but the engine room of one of the busiest airports in the world!
What will you do as a System Administrator?
As a System Administrator, you are the stable factor behind the scenes of a system that cannot afford a single moment of downtime. You make sure everything keeps running smoothly, actively contribute ideas for improvements, and respond quickly when something goes wrong. Your responsibilities are varied and include, among other things:
- Managing and improving the IT infrastructure, applications and network assets in accordance with the required performance standards;
- Ensuring that system functionalities continue to meet the customer’s required quality standards;
- Analysing and resolving incidents;
- Participating in projects;
- Supervising and testing system changes.
What do you bring?
You are a technically skilled professional who feels at home in complex IT environments and doesn’t shy away from a challenge. With your knowledge and experience, you quickly keep your finger on the pulse and make a valuable contribution to our critical infrastructure. Do you recognise yourself in the following profile?
- A completed MBO degree (vocational education) in IT;
- At least three years of relevant work experience, such as managing complex IT environments or carrying out various IT projects;
- Knowledge of and experience with ITIL processes, Windows Server, data analysis software such as Splunk, UNIX/Linux, VMware and IT Security;
- You are able to provide a Certificate of No Objection (VGB); this is a requirement for applying for a Schiphol pass, as you will be working in the baggage basement of Schiphol;
- You are willing to work in shifts, for which you are entitled to a 30% irregular hours allowance;
- You are fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
